This album is a representation of how I have begun to knit back together the channels and spaces in my body and my being through which the creative force can travel freely — uninhibited after so many years of effort, external input and scrutiny.  I imagine each movement that I’ve recorded here as a talisman collected on a long and ongoing journey that starts in the body, courses through the psyche to the spirit, and circles back to source energy, over and over again.  Every one of the movements I chose — the Bachs, almost Biblical in their purity and familiarity, the Kurtágs like a mirror to talk, breathe, whimper or scream into — has guided me, in its own way, closer to the realization that in every moment what I am seeking is already housed within my own bones.  The final track, Limbic Hymnal, is a conversation — a reconciliation and communion — between the two parts of myself that are often in conflict but that ultimately help each other over the course of every journey : the emotional part that drives the quest, and the spiritual part that already knows and is waiting to tell.
